Week of June 26-30 * Adventure into the World of Anime and Manga
Hitting the U.S. by storm, Manga and Anime have rapidly become one of the most popular forms of comics and cartooning. These new forms of art are inspiring a new movement in the art and publishing world. Come spend an intense week learning the how and why of this new movement. You will explore Anime productions, while breaking down scenes from actual films through storyboards, learn about character design and development, complete an Anime cell of your own, learn “Mangaisms” and find out why Manga storytelling differs, from how it’s written to how it’s drawn. Students will create their own Manga by applying skills taught throughout the class
Week of July 17-21 * ArtESCAPE
This week long event for teens focuses on drawing and painting. Students will sketch to create observational drawings and complete a painting using acrylic paints. Step-by-step demonstration of techniques will take place throughout the week. Students wishing to pursue a fine art degree will be able to use their complete artwork in their portfolio.
Week of July 24-28 * Creating Dynamic Drawings!
This class will be extremely informative on taking that next step to “see” the world and its environment through your eyes like never before. Find YOUR voice in the art world. Artistic expression, human anatomy and three dimensional art will be explored. Learn about art’s more important fundamentals and take your artwork to the next level using these fundamentals and building blocks. A must for any teen serious about art or those who want to be the best artist they can.
Week of August 7-11 * Drawing and Painting for Teens
This week long program designed for teens willencompass both drawing and painting from print media as well as from life. Students will learn how to work withcharcoal, pencil & acrylic paint. While painting, they will learn how composition, color & form help to create a successful painting. Drawing will place and emphasis on exploring light & line. Various shading techniques will show how to make your drawings dimentional.
Week of August 14-18 * Adventure into the World of Anime and Manga
If you want to attend this class from home using ZOOM, you must pick up supplies from our studio during the week before camp begins. ($20 supply fee)
Don't want to come & pick up your kit? We'll deliver or ship it to you! Must register at least 7 days before your camp begins, so your supplies arrive in time for your camp!
